The State of Entrepreneurship

One of our tasks we've charged ourselves in helping to address is the level of entrepreneurs of color in Racine and Kenosha. We know that barriers do exist in competition, and doing business with various companies and organizations.

What do you feel are important areas that should be addressed in relation to creating an entrepreneurial culture and sparking interest in doing business with companies of color?

I think it is important to understand that all economic development organizations in the community work jointly in providing opportunities for companies to compete.

These groups need to be allies of business, not opponents.

I would agree with you anonymous on a few levels. But i think we have many dynamics within our own community that work against us, so until we have an open discussion about that, the status quo will remain the same.
